To invest or not to invest

Talking to my dad about investments... discussing some minor issues, and some active shares that are worth investing...
the risk factor is always a major hurdle, especially for a risk adverse person like me, who seeks security and certainty in things i do.

However, the lure of the stock market has taken its toll on me, i have just thrown in 3 k to become a shareholder of ossim international... is it a good share? I am not too sure... but it's a good start i feel... to be able to "grow" in this aspect.

Bought it at $1.01, which means paying about $3,060 (incl brokerage). Not a small sum of money by my standard. I am thinking of setting up a internet trading account. Brokerage is at min $20 or .0275%. Relatively low. Can save up to 45% of brokerage cost. Quite a lot for small time pple like me

It seems that i have moved past the deliberating part of the discussion to making a choice, to stating why a choice has been made... confused? Same here... pray that this will be an interesting adventure, not at much cost.

May God keep my sane mind while i venture in.

First post.... actually, not sure how i am going to set the direction of my blog. Hope to at least record things for myeslf to look back in a couple of years' time.
